For a century, Girl Scouts has been providing an opportunity for girls in grades K-12 to develop new skills, talents and friendships through troop activities, camps and more. The girls learn about leadership, build confidence and character, and take action in their communities.
MISSION: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
In the directions below, our Watertown Kindergarten troop is listed as the troop number to search for, but you can also search using your zip code and the grade your daughter will be in school and also find troops that way. If you are having trouble, and your daughter is not in Kindergarten, please send Angela Angela Scott, Membership Recruitment Specialist- External @ email@example.com a message and I can send you the troop numbers for those grades.
1. Please go to www.gsema.org/join
2. Scroll down and click the “Join the Fun Today” button
3. Once you fill out the first page of the Girl Registration, click the Continue button
4. You will now be brought to a “Ways to Participate” page – here you can search for the troop. Where it says “Pick a specific troop”, type in #62728 (Kindergarten troop). When you click search you will see that the troop will pop up. Click on the troop number and continue through the registration until you get a confirmation that you are officially registered.

****Watertown Public Schools in conjunction with the School Committee will be holding the 2nd of 3 Community Forums****
When: Wednesday, July 27th
Where: High School Auditorium, 50 Columbia Street
Whether you have children in the WPS or not, these meetings are very important-decisions coming out of these community discussions will help to create the MASTER PLAN, which all of our future improvements will be based
SMMA, an architectural firm specializing in educational facilities, has been hired to evaluate our school facilities given to:
*changing educational instructional needs
*our old, tired buildings
*increasing enrollment numbers
Some Questions Facing Watertown Residents:
*Can buildings be renovated within the same footprint?
*Will they require new additions, be retired, or need to be built from the ground up i.e., new construction?
Even if we qualify for some state reimbursement the MSBA (MA School Building Authority) a debt exclusion (tax increase) is in our future
We need to approach these decisions wisely as a community
The education of Watertown's children and the proactive use of our tax dollars, calls for community input and oversight
Please do not let your ideas, questions, and concerns go unheard. The children need your help to empower their education and their aspirations; the town officials want and need to hear your input, and I need you to show up, introduce yourself, and be counted as someone invested in the future of Watertown.
